My wife Karen and I moved into Radford Semele from Bedfordshire in May 2026, in order to be nearer one of our sons and his two young boys. We had been frequent visitors to them in the village for more than six years, and we liked what we saw. Radford Semele is a lovely village. It has great history and such a wonderful location in the countryside with the canal and river.

My background was as a police officer for 27 years followed as a self-employed driving instructor for a further 21 years.

When I finally retired in 2025 our ‘Plan A’ was always to relocate to Radford Semele.

I hope to be able to put my hard-won organising and administrative skills and experience to some use for the benefit of the parish council.

In particular I am keen to try and keep Radford Semele as a separate entity and do all I can to prevent it becoming absorbed into the busy metropolis just across the boundary!
