Draft South Warwickshire Local Plan – Preferred Options Consultation

The Preferred Options Consultation is the third stage in the process for preparing the new South Warwickshire Local Plan. The Preferred Options Consultation and accompanying targeted Call for Sites will run from 10 January to 7 March 2025. Please note comments made after the closing date will not be considered.

The Preferred Options Consultation document contains a number of draft policies and policy directions that cover issues identified and analysed at earlier stages of the South Warwickshire Local Plan preparation process: Scoping, Call for Sites and Issues and Options consultation (responses to these earlier consultations can be found on each of these pages). Additionally, the Preferred Options consultation will be seeking views on the proposed Growth Strategy which sets out the proposals for how the development needs across the District are to be met.

How to View and Comment

The Preferred Options document can be accessed via our dedicated online Preferred Options Consultation Portal. It is here where you can provide your comments on various sections of the Plan.

You can also explore the proposals on our interactive map.

Each section of the document has a series of questions on key topics that we would like your views on and each question can be answered with either ‘Yes/No/Other’. There is also the opportunity to add further comments within each of these sections. You can find guidance on how to access the portal and answer the questions in this helpful Guidance Note.

We understand that this is a long document, and there is no requirement to read all of it. You may wish to focus on the topics of particular interest to you or that you are curious to find out more about. You can skip to specific parts of the Plan by clicking on the sections below that you are interested in reading and/or commenting on.
